This one day Yacht Race sees over 1,700 boats set sail from Cowes and race around the Isle of Wight back to the start line. You can see the race taking place from most coastal places, but some excellent views can be seen from Fort Victoria in Yarmouth, The Needles at Alum Bay, the viewpoint above Blackgang Chine, Ventnor seafront and Culver Cliff between Sandown and Bembridge. So pack a Picnic and enjoy the Race!

The Isle of Wight is renowned for its annual Cowes Week event. With up to 40 daily races and around 1,000 boats taking part this is one of the world’s oldest and largest events of its kind! Not only is there plenty to take part in at sea there is also plenty to join in with on land! The town of Cowes really does come alive with over 100,000 spectators and 8,500 sailors, come and see for yourself!
