One of our self catering cottages offers an ideal way to enjoy your holiday on our beautiful Island, providing superb quality accommodation with all the freedom and flexibility that goes with self catering .Some of our properties are converted farm buildings, others are self contained accommodation within the main house.

Isle of Wight Farm and Country Holidays was set up about 20 years ago by a group of high quality accommodation providers who wanted to market their self catering cottages and bed and breakfast accommodation to people looking for somewhere really special to stay in the heart of the countryside.

Parts of the Island can be quite busy in the summer but if you know where to go, it doesn't take long to find yourself in the rolling downs and woodlands of quiet and peaceful rural England. It is in these rural areas that all our Isle of Wight cottages are to be found.

Manor houses

Many houses in the group are of historic and architectural interest. The Island has a very high number of manor houses and we are pleased to include several as members. In some cases, a wing of the house has been adapted to self catering holiday cottage accommodation, in others, attractive barns and stables have found new life as holiday cottages. Manor houses have another advantage - they are always in beautiful settings - the families who built them were in a position to choose the best sites.

Working farms

Staying on a working farm is always interesting and you can be sure you will be right in the heart of the country. Within the Group, there are members who have dairy farms, some run mixed farms, while others concentrate on rare and endangered breeds. Again both former farm buildings, as well as parts of the main house have been converted to holiday cottages.

In all our properties you will find a warm welcome amongst friendly people in superbly appointed accommodation.

Standards of craftmanship

It is a very strict requirement of membership of the Farm and County Holiday Group that all conversions and alterations are carried out to the very highest specifications. Most of the Island's best craftmen have at some time or another been involved in work on most of the group's properties.
