Some of the best sea fishing in England can be enjoyed off the Isle of Wight.

Although many may get excited catching mackerel after mackerel in August when the waters are warm, for the serious seafishing November is possibly the best month of the year.

During November you can expect to catch Cod, Channel Whiting, Conger Eels, Bull Huss, Pollock, Pout, Ling, Bass, and possibly ray= see Isle of wight fishing

This year the cod staring coming in early, a reflection of the colder summer, and cooler sea waters.

There are various boat charter and fishing trips available from Cowes, Yarmouth and Ventnor.  ocean blue from Ventnor harbour can be the most exciting , but the most weather dependent, whereas the Yarmouth and Cowes boats can limit their run to the solent, but its is so exciting going close to the needles and fishing off the banks beyond the needles.

For fresh fish one of the best places to buy it is at Ventnor Haven where the Blake family have been fishing for several generations. You can get their famous crab and chips there too and the best of fish and chips.
