Mid October news

“The Isle of Wight must be a wonderful place to live!” say many of our guests in the Wight Farm Holiday group and so it is! The Indian Summer we have and are experiencing has produced some amazing sunsets and cloud formations, just have a look at the photographs on our members’ websites.
October is the month when shops start to stock Christmas and winter items but we can still enjoy beautiful land and seascapes of the Island before having to encase ourselves in masses of jumpers and waterproofs!
There are a wide variety of festivals, from this weekend’s Literary Festival based in Cowes, to the Robin Hill lights extravaganza, Festival of Light, and the increasingly popular Isle of Wight Walking Festival. October half term brings with it the multitude of children’s activities at Carisbrooke Castle, West Wight Sports Centre and Tapnell Farm, to name just a few. Not forgetting the fearful final weekend of October where the Island seems to be festooned with Halloween events.
