Enjoy Country House living in comfort and style! Spacious and airy, Rew Farmhouse is an ideal holiday home either for family or just friends. In 2006 it underwent extensive and expensive renovations to bring it up to 21 st century standards.
Believed to date from the 1600’s, Rew Farmhouse is one of the most important and beautiful old farmhouses on the Isle of Wight. It is a house of exceptional charm and character. Nestling in the picturesque and peaceful Rew Valley, it lies within the Isle of Wight’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Rew Farmhouse is within ¾ of a mile of shops, 1 ½ miles of the beach and resort of Ventnor, and close to Ventnor Golf Course. The safe beaches of Sandown and Shanklin are within easy reach.
Completely rewired, re-plumbed and redecorated in 2006, it has a large kitchen to die for, modern bathrooms – two with separate baths and shower units – TV’s in two receptions rooms, and TV points in all bedrooms.
New furnishings and equipment have been carefully sourced to a high quality and yet allowing leeway for family use.
All five bedrooms are of good size and all allow the beds to be used as doubles or twins, according to your preference.
It has always been a family house. All the rooms are spacious, airy, warm, light and comfortable. The views from each room are either towards ancient woodland or downland.

You have sole use of the 1 ¼ acre garden which surrounds the property. It is laid mostly to lawn with courtyards and paved terraced areas, BBQ area, flower beds, a pond (covered), and an orchard. It offers you complete privacy and the only interruptions will be from the contract gardeners and oil deliveries – plus the postman! The garden produce is there for you to enjoy when in season.
The key features are peace, space and light, both inside and out, giving a great sense of freedom. It is an ideal holiday venue for the family, or for large groups of friends. The farmhouse is set in a quiet, peaceful valley, surrounded by our grassland farm which is grazed by our Highland Cattle. What could be more idyllic?
